Co-Founder, 2014-current

  • Founded “Jimmi” an R&D firm supporting innovation in 3D printing, designed and developed 3D Printers and 3D Bio Printers.

  • Interviewed at Y-Combinator for the S16 Batch

  • Managed a Lean-Startup approach to rapid Prototyping and product development.

  • Launched “Buildclass” workshop series, led twelve 3D printer build workshops, building 70+ 3D Printers with over 100 people

Digital Fabrication Research Technician, 2013-2015

  • Assisted with the operation of 3-axis and 4-axis CNC machinery, 3D printers, laser cutters, and general fabrication tools

  • Managed and maintained high resolution photo-polymer 3D printer (Objet 30), powder-based 3D printer (ZCorp 310), and several plastic extrusion RepRap 3D printers as well as laser cutters (Universal and Trotec), Multi-cam CNC router, and Haas CNC vertical milling center

Lead Designer , Interdisciplinary Sculpture Department, 2014

  • Appointed to a small leadership team to form an actionable proposal and master plan for MICA’s new Interdisciplinary Sculpture Department, collaborated with architects, faculty, staff, alumni and students.

  • Compiled the proposal into a booklet including technical drawings, conceptual overview, construction methods, and curriculum integration

  • Presented the proposal to deans and president of the college

  • Served as an educational resource and supported undergraduate students regarding processes of metal and wood fabrication

  • Developed a proof-of-concept workflow for open source inkjet 3D printing  

  • Modified an existing 3D printer and designed new hardware for inkjet printing

Metal fabrication: Proficient in electric arc and gas welding: MIG, Stick, TIG, and OxyAcetylene welding. Operation and maintenance of most metal fabrication and foundry equipment
Conventional Fabrication: Operation and maintenance of stationary and portable woodshop tools: including but not limited to table saw, planer, jointer, dust collection system, lathe, band saw, vacuform.
